Everyone's got questions... Jack is here to help. Look through the following questions, answers, and hints. If you can't find the answer to your Bareback Video Awards question here, use the link at the bottom to write Jack, and he'll do his best to answer your question as soon as possible.
Q) Are there any rules to voting in the BBVA?
A) Yes. We have 3 rules.
- Rule #1: Please vote only for those videos and clips you have watched. The BBVA is (quite obviously) a non-partisan race, so please be fair-minded and "spread the love".
- Rule #2: Submit only ONE ballot. We want the BBVA to be fair, since that is what makes it work for everyone. We do have means of tracking votes, but even so, we encourage you to please vote fairly.
IMPORTANT: If you submit more than one ballot, all of your ballots will be discounted.
- Rule #3: Have fun, and don't get too much spooge on your keyboard!
Q) How do I vote?
A) Click on the VOTE button at the end of any category. This will open your ballot. When you are done filling out your ballot, click the SUBMIT MY VOTE button once.
HINT: Keep your ballot open while you are viewing the nominations until you are done voting. If you close your ballot, you will lose any selections you have made.
Q) What happens if I close my ballot or lose my connection?
A) If you close your ballot before completing it, your votes will be erased and you will have to start over. However, if you should lose your connection you should be able to sign back on and continue voting as long as you don't lose the ballot page when you lose your connection.
Q) The various graphic links that I am supposed to click aren't working. How do I see video clips or vote?
A) Did you actually click on them? Try them. They are working links, however your cursor won't change into a hand when you run your mouse over them. Clever, huh? Try clicking on one and see what happens. Don't worry... we aren't setting you up to fail here. Nobody is watching, so go ahead. Click on the link. We dare ya!
You also may need to turn off your pop-up blocking for this website. There's no need for concern... our pop-ups are safe.
Q) What if a particular video, actor, or scene isn't on the ballot in the category I want it to be? For example, I want to vote for a particular title as Best Video, but it isn't nominated or on the ballot in that category.
A) You can only vote for what's on the ballot. You opinion may be that a video not listed in any given category is better than the ones listed, and your opinion does count ~ just not in this particualr example.
Q) Why do some gallery pages have a ton of photos and others only have a few?
A) Each studio submitted a different number of photos. We have provided as many as possible for you to view.
Q) Why are there some titles with few or no clips?
A) We don't host the clips on barebackjack.com. Therefore, the number of clips available for each title is determined by each participating studio. If they provided us a link to their clips, we used it.
Q) How were the nominations chosen?
A) Each studio was asked to nominate their best examples for each category. They made the ultimate decision of which videos, scenes, and stars to nominate. This year, at least one studio polled their customers and used that data as the basis for their nominations.
Q) How much input does Bareback Jack have with the outcome of the Bareback Video Awards? Does he select the winners?
A) Absolutely not! Every single vote counts, therefore YOU pick the winners in the BBVA!
Q) What do the winners win?
A) Every studio who has a winning nominee receives the "Spoogie" ~ a seal of excellence for use in advertising and packaging of every one of their winning videos. This year they also receive a winner's certificate suitable for framing. And they obviously win exclusive bragging rights!
Q) What about those who don't win? What do they get?
A) Every studio and star receives an incredible amount of exposure during the course of the Awards whether they win a Spoogie or not. The public has the chance to view clips, stills, and reviews of each video nominated. Therefore everybody wins in the Bareback Video Awards!
