Dear Jack,
(This letter came in response to my
refusal to place a safe-sex party listing
on the bareback party page)
Dear Jack,
A man who does not promote the use of condoms
must be, in my opinion, infected with the
HIV virus and doesn't care. What benefit is there
in endangering your like by not wearing a condom?
Don't you see that you caould DIE of AIDS? I just
don't see the compensating benefits of unprotected
sex as you seen to advertise it on the net. This
sounds dangerous and unmethodical.
This web site of yours is promoting a hazardous
lifestyle to the community. My request is that
you consider other peoples safety as you operate
your web page. I think, perhaps restructuring it
to everyone's best interests and safety would be
thoughtful and considerate of yourself.
Thank you for reading this.

Dear Vanillaboy,
I am uncertain as to what you must have
been thinking to visit my site, which is
CLEARLY not in your interest, and then
attempt to post a safe-sex ad on a
bareback party page, and change the
focus of the site because it doesn't
meet your approval. That would be much
like a Jew going to a Catholic mass and
requesting the Torah be read by the
priest. It also tells me you are not
terribly observant.
Or perhaps you just enjoy acting as a rebel.
You make the mistake of assuming that
because I bareback I am HIV positive.
Fortunately, not our entire community
is as blindly black and white in its
thinking. About one- third of the
barebackers I receive mail from are
HIV-negative, and most wish to maintain
their HIV-negative status.
I don't expect you to understand the
possibility of this simply because of
your already pre-determined method of
looking at sex.
Condoms are not 100%
effective in preventing HIV transmission,
and barebacking is not 100% effective in
causing HIV transmission (the point most
people as yourself miss most often is that
transmitting HIV requires that one of
the parties involved ALREADY HAS the
virus to transmit).
Another point you seem to be missing
is that there is a definite interest
within the community toward barebacking.
That is evidenced by the fact that I have
on the average of 1,000 hits to this site
per day, and by the volume of ads I receive
from men looking for others into bareback
sex. Mine is one of many bareback sites on
the net (admittedly, though, it is one of
the most comprehensive), so I guess I am
not the only promoter of what you term a
"hazardous lifestyle to the community".
Look around you, Vanillaboy.
Obviously www.barebackjack.com is
not the website for you. I could
guarantee you that a site entitled
www.vanillaboy1.com would not be
a website where I would belong, either.
And re-structuring my site to suit your
particular concept of political correctness
is simply inappropriate. Every product has
a target audience. Mine is barebackers,
and it appears that you are not in my
target audience.
One of the freedoms we are guaranteed in this
country is the freedom to express unpopular or
controversial ideas. Simply by being gay and
expressing that aspect of yourself, you are
already enjoying the benefit of this freedom.
And yet, you would wish to take away another
man's right to the same by asking him to conform
to your way of thinking or present ideas that
only coincide with yours. Isn't that a double
standard, Vanillaboy?
No I will not change my format to satisfy your
selfish, unresearched, black-and-white thinking.
To do so would be to take away a freedom of
expression from the thousands of people
around the world who enjoy viewing my site.
I recommend you find a site on the internet
that is more in line with your restricted
way of thinking.
Respectfully,
~Bareback Jack.
